Warehouse Position: SCO

Joplin, Missouri

Applicants must possess a strong work ethic with stable work history.

Overhead crane & forklift experience preferred. Previous steel industry experience is a plus. Ability to lift 50+ lbs., exposure to hot/cold elements and extensive walking. Applicants must pass pre-employment drug screen, physical and pass a background check.

Service Center Operator

Fort Smith, Arkansas

Entry-level warehouse position open for day or night shift. Day shift responsible for conducting day-to-day operations of warehouse. Duties include unloading trucks, stocking material, pulling customer orders, processing and loading customer will-calls, etc. Night shift position primarily responsible for finishing order pulls and for loading trucks for next day delivery.

High school diploma or GED preferred. Pre-employment physical and drug screen required. Must be able to read measurements as you will be using a tape measure, calipers and micrometer. Good people skills needed as you will be working with customers as well as co-workers.

Boyd Metals of Little Rock is now seeking applicants for an Account Manager position. Responsibilities include developing rapport and ongoing relationships with the buyers, managers, and business owners of our customers while working in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Successful applicants will be able to work independently, think critically, and be organizationally sound. A four-year college degree is preferred
 and previous steel industry experience is a plus.

How would you describe Boyd Metals culture?

Rather than us describe it, here is how a group of our employees recently described it during a recent training class; entrepreneurial spirit, one of integrity, work hard but have fun doing it, the customer really does come first, management cares, relaxed atmosphere, everyone plays a big part in our success, new ideas are welcomed, open door policies, do whatever it takes to take care of a customer, team over individual.

Why has Boyd Metals been so successful over the years?

There are a lot of reasons but the biggest one is our people. Most of the products we sell are commodities, therefore we must differentiate ourselves in other ways. We hire talented people that are self-motivated and believe like us that our job is not done until the customer is taken care of.
